Effective October 7, 2026. Resq Legal (resq.com) is a website of The Ledger Law Firm, 5160 Birch Street, Suite 200, Newport Beach, CA 92660.
What We Collect
What you give us. If you fill in the form on this site or call the number shown on it, we receive what you tell us: your name, your phone number, your email address, and your account of what happened.
What your browser tells us. As with most websites, a visit sends us the internet address of your connection, the kind of device and browser you are using, which pages you open, and when. The security services that guard the site keep a log of requests for a limited time.
Cookies. This site, and the services named on this page, store small files called cookies in your browser. Some keep the site running and secure. Others serve advertising and measurement, as explained below.
How We Use It
What you give us is used to reply to you and to work out whether the firm can help with your matter. Filling in the form or calling does not, on its own, make you a client of the firm. What your browser tells us is used to keep the site running and secure, to see how the site is used, to count how many visitors call or write after seeing one of our ads, and for the advertising explained below.
Advertising and Measurement
The firm advertises online. Outside vendors, Google among them, display our ads on websites across the internet. Those vendors use cookies and device identifiers to show ads based on a person’s earlier visits to this site. So once you have visited this site, your browser may be placed in an advertising audience, and you may later see our ads on other sites. Google also counts visits to this site for us (Google Analytics). When your browser opens a page, these vendors receive what it sends: the page, the time, the internet address, and a cookie or device identifier.
We do not hand them what you write in the form. There is one exception: when a sent form is counted, Google’s tag sends Google a scrambled (hashed) copy of an email address it finds on the page, which can be the one you typed. Google uses it to match the inquiry to an ad. This copy is not sent for a browser that has opted out as explained below.
You can turn off Google’s use of cookies and device identifiers for advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also use the choice below.
Your Privacy Choices
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. You may tell us to keep this browser out of advertising audiences. Press the button here, or follow the link with those words at the bottom of any page. Your choice is stored in this browser for a little more than a year. If you clear your cookies, or use a different browser or device, you will need to choose again there.
A browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal is treated as having made this choice; nothing more is needed.
Visitors in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are not placed in advertising audiences.
You can also call (800) 300-0001 or write through the contact page, and we will help with any choice or request described on this page.
Who Receives Your Information
We do not sell your information for money. Companies working for the firm receive information where their work needs it: the company that hosts this site; services that shield it from attacks and unwanted messages (Google reCAPTCHA on our form among them); services that supply parts of the pages, such as fonts and a box shown inside our articles; the system where the firm keeps inquiries; and Google, for the advertising and measurement explained above. California law calls that advertising “sharing”, and you can opt out of it as explained under Your Privacy Choices.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its use for targeted advertising. Using any of these rights will not change how we treat you. To make a request, call (800) 300-0001 or write through the contact page.
Children
This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
